A change in our family is that Weston is now being home schooled. We are both enjoying it and having a lot of fun. It's amazing how much you can accomplish in a day with just one child to teach. There are a lot of reasons why we decided to home school, but mainly it came down to praying and knowing that this was the right decision for him. Will I always home school him? Probably not but this is what's right for the rest of this school year!
He was most excited about starting a science project right off the bat. So while we waited for our curriculum to arrive we put white flowers is food coloring to "watch" the flowers drink the water. He also created a All About Me Journal.
He loves anything to do with art! Thanks Charlotte for this great idea!
He insists on having recess everyday! His favorite activity is cracking the ice on the small "lake" that has formed on the side of our house. Our neighbors dog Tulah came over to investigate what all the noise was about!
Now that all of our curriculum has arrived he has had Language Art lessons along with Math, Social Studies, and Science. He is also taking piano lessons and gets to practice for Music. So far this has been great for both of us. I'm super busy but having so much fun teaching Weston.
