Sledding!

Last weekend we had a ton of snow dumped on us. It was so much fun! We took the kids sledding at night after Monte got off work with our neighbor Heather. It was a blast. I took pictures and was so excited to post them, but when I uploaded them, I found most of the pictures were out of focus. What a disappointment. Here are a couple that weren't blurry.

Here's Heather getting ready to push Wes down the hill on her snowboard. Heather's snowboard became Weston's choice of sled!

Heather and Heather posing for a picture together. Yes it is very weird having a friend with the same name. I feel like I'm talking in the 3rd person. "Heather wants to go sledding, Heather is so cool, etc."

This weekend the snow is melting and we can see the grass. It was fun while it lasted for a week, but I'm ready for spring!

On another note we are in full basketball season around here. Weston and Logan are playing, so Saturday's are filled up with games.  They each approach basketball like they do life. Logan is serious and goes 110%, Weston just laughs and has no idea what is going on in the actual game. He's having to much fun to actually play the game! After Weston's game today Logan said, "Weston do you think maybe next game you could just run down the court instead of skipping or dancing around? It's embarrassing!"  Weston of course denied doing any of that but he had 4 witnesses in the stands to tell him different. I love my boys! Bleachers for 2 hours not so much, but watching my boys play basketball all worth it! Even with skipping and dancing involved!

Lake Chelan

The week after Christmas Monte had to go to Chelan for work. The kids and I decided to go along since they were out of school. All I had to say was swimming pool and cable and they were sold! I am really glad we decided to go. It helped with the homesickness I was feeling a little during the holidays.

Weston is always running somewhere! You can see our hotel in the background.

The kids loved finding seashells along the beach

This is the view off the balcony of our hotel room. It was absolutely beautiful.

The kids were so excited to swim, and boy did they swim.  I'm amazed at how much they can swim and never get tired. I remeber feeling that way as a child, why does it have to change?

Chelan is absolutely beautiful. Monte goes up there a couple times a month, so we can't wait to go back in the summer and take full advantage of the lake!

Christmas

We had a fabulous Christmas! It was so nice having Christmas on Sunday. I loved it. It created a slower pace and a more meaningful Christmas.  I loved having the kids home for 2 weeks and was so sad to send them back to school. My kids are so fun to play with. I love their ages, we played games, watched movies and stayed up way to late! It was so hard to get back on the school schedule. Here are some Christmas pictures.

Christmas Eve jammies with matching rice bags to keep their feet warm!

Christmas morning, the infamous waiting on the stairs to see if Santa came. Why does this wait seem so long?

Logan made a tiny Christmas tree in a Lego stand for the family. It was so cute. He put yarn around it as garland and cut out the tiniest yellow star for the top. He had it all set up in a shoe box and handed out tickets to everyone for the Logan Show which took place Christmas night.
