A Break at the Lake
We needed a break from the unpacking, and being inside the house the other day. We decided to visit a lake that's close by. It is beautiful up here. I feel like I'm living at the cabin. The kids had a lot of fun playing, swimming and being goofy (Logan and Weston) Abbie and I are much to refined ha ha ha.
Even though the day was hot the wind started to pick up, and Abbie decided to get out her book and enjoy reading by the lake. For some reason the wind didn't bother the boys. They kept on enjoying themselves.
These two boys are the best of friends. They can't live with or without eachother most days. It's been really neat to see the bond they've developed this summer. They remind me so much of my own brothers growing up.

What the Heck is This?

What is this? Any ideas? The kids and I were getting the beach towels out of the garage (we went to a fun lake close by) when I heard a hissing noise. I looked around armed with the broom in my hand and found this huge, ugly, beetle of a thing. It gave me the heebie jeebies.
Here it is by Logan's foot he really was quite big. He started to play dead when we swept him out. Notice I already decided it's a He only a man could be so ugly! Logan was brave enough to stand by it so you could see the size. Needless to say it stopped my garage cleaning/organizing ambitions right away. I kill spiders and other things just fine when they choose to enter my house, but the thoughts of the loud crunch this guy would make made me cringe. He only survived because he was so ugly. Why do these things only appear when the man of the house is gone?Sunday, August 21, 2011
Exploring with Grandma and Grandpa
I have found the camera cord, that means the unpacking is going well. As I mentioned before Grandma and Grandpa left we did a little exploring downtown. It was a lot of fun and had a little bit of everything for everyone. The Apple Store for Dad, and Sophora for Mom were among the favorites.
What? we are not in Canada, but the kiddo's sure are cute!
I love these two boys! The world holds great wonders waiting to be explored, contemplated, and enjoyed.
We had so much fun together. We can't wait for Mom and Dad to come back and do some more exploring. We love you and miss you!

Unpacking
We are in the middle of unpacking. What a job, and I love it! Monte and my parents left yesterday. It was hard to see them go, but Monte will be back in 2 weeks hurray! Before they left we spent some time exploring Spokane. It was fun and I got some great pictures, but like I said I'm unpacking. I haven't found my camera cord that goes to my computer. So until then I dug back in my pictures and found this:
This was taken a couple of months before we moved to Twin. If you look at the previous post you will see how much the kids have grown, and a lot more kids have joined the family. Why does time have to pass by so fast?

Saying Goodbye
We had to say goodbye to all our friends and family this week. It was so hard. We have loved living in Twin. Life is always full of twists and turns and we weathered some of the sharpest curves in Twin. One of the most important lesson I have learned living in Twin is how much my Heavenly Father loves me and my family. He knows what we need even before we know, and that's why He sent us to Twin, where we would be surrounded by the best support group that ever existed. We have been engulfed by friends and family who showed us unconditional love and support. It is because of our friends and family that we will look back with longing in our hearts for Twin. It's amazing how leaving a piece of your heart behind only makes it grow bigger.Friday, July 29, 2011
We are Moving!!!
It's official we are moving. I am really excited for this new change in our lives. Monte has found a great job and is super excited to start. We are headed to Washington State. Monte grew up in Washington and is excited to go back, but he did let me know secretly Idaho has stolen his heart. I am planning on keeping this blog updated a lot more since we will be moving away from my family. Please leave me a link to your blog so I can update my list.

Life's Plans
This week will be full of some major decisions for our little family. I found a perfect quote for my life right now and want to share it.
We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. -Joseph Campbell
I'm ready to have the life that is waiting for me, but the letting go of the planned life is oh so hard. It feels like the end of dreams never reached. I realize my dreams aren't gone they just aren't going to be accomplished in the way I wanted to accomplish them. Having the faith and courage to let go will in the end lead to the greatest happiness, but why does it have to be so hard?
